Creating Reminders

Reminders let you re-engage participants who have not yet completed a chat. You can send reminders via SMS or email to encourage participants to return and finish their responses.

Step-by-step Guide

  1. Open your chat and go to the Distribute section from the left-hand menu.

  2. Scroll down to Reminders and click Create.

  3. Fill in the reminder form:

    • Name - A label for this reminder (internal only).

    • Description (optional) - Notes about the purpose of this reminder.

    • Engagement locale - Selects which group of participants the reminder targets based on the locale they were originally invited for. For single-locale chats, this is prefilled automatically. For multi-lingual chats, select the locale from the dropdown. The system automatically targets only participants who were invited for that specific engagement locale, ensuring that a participant who was invited to the English (Canada) version of the chat receives the reminder with English (Canada) branding in both email and SMS. There is no need to manually filter by preferred locale - this matching is handled automatically.

    • Target - Further narrow which participants receive the reminder within the selected engagement locale group. This typically targets participants who received the invitation but have not yet completed the chat.

    • Delivery - Set the timeframe for when the reminder is sent, or schedule it for a specific date and time.

    • Message - Customize the SMS or email content. Keep it concise and action-oriented.

  4. Click Save to create the reminder.

Managing Reminders

After creating a reminder, you can manually deliver it, cancel it, or schedule it from the Reminders list. The list also shows a Locale column so you can see which engagement locale each reminder targets.
