Provisioning New Users under a Research Domain

As a Research Domain Administrator, you can now create and manage users within your assigned research domain, eliminating the need to go through platform support. New users will belong to the organization under which the Research Domain exists. If the user’s email is associated with RivalTech or Reach3, they will automatically be assigned to their respective organizations and granted access to the research domain where they were created.

How to Create a New User

Follow these steps to invite and provision users within your research domain:

  1. Go to Research Domain Settings

    • Log in to the Rival platform.

    • Navigate to the Settings menu under the specific Research Domain.

    • You can access this via the settings cog in the selection menu or by entering the research domain and using the top navigation bar.

  2. Access the "Manage Users" Tab

    • Select the Manage Users tab within the domain settings interface.

  3. Invite a New User:
Click on the Invite User button and provide the required details:

    • Email Address: Enter the user’s email.

    • Role Selection: Choose the appropriate role from the dropdown menu.
      (Domain Administrator, User, or Viewer).

  4. User Setup:

    • If the email is not linked to an existing Rival account, the invited user will receive an invitation email.

    • The user must complete the account setup process.

    • If the email is already associated with a Rival account, the user will be automatically granted access to the specified domain without additional setup.

How to Request User Deletion

  1. Remove User from a Research Domain

    • Navigate to Manage Users under Research Domain Settings.

    • Locate the user and click Remove to revoke their access to the domain. This does not delete the user’s Rival account, only their access to your research domain.

  2. Permanent Deletion of User Account

    • Only Platform Administrators can permanently delete user accounts. If a full removal is needed, submit a request to a Platform Administrator via your CS Representative.
