Moving Chats into a Folder

Moving Multiple Chats at Once

If you have a lot of unorganized chats, bulk move lets you select several at once and file them into a folder in a single action.

Entering Bulk Move Mode

  1. Click the bulk move icon in the list toolbar (next to filter and sort).

  2. A banner appears: "Select chats to perform bulk move," with a MOVE button (disabled until you select something) and an X to exit.

  3. Checkboxes appear on every row. Only chats can be selected - folder rows show a checkbox, but it's inactive in this release. MOVE button becomes active once you've selected at least one chat

  4. Click MOVE. A "Move to" dialog opens, showing how many items you're moving. Use the search bar in the dialog to filter the folder tree by name, or browse the tree directly (subfolders expand on demand). All chats is always available as a destination.

  5. Select a destination and click MOVE, or CANCEL to go back without moving anything.

After the Move

  • A success toast confirms how many items moved and where, with a "JUMP TO CHAT" link that takes you to the destination folder.

  • The moved chats disappear from your current view.

  • Bulk move mode stays active, so you can keep selecting and moving more chats without turning it back on.

  • Item counts and pagination update automatically

Moving a single chat

From the Chat List

  1. Open the overflow menu () on the chat row.

  2. Select Move to folder.

  3. Pick a destination from the folder picker - this shows your folders and All chats (no chats are shown as destinations, since a chat can't live inside another chat).

  4. Confirm.
