Global vs Locale-specific Elements

In a multi-lingual chat, every element is either global (shared across all locales) or locale-specific (unique per locale). Understanding which is which helps you author efficiently.

Global Elements (🌐)

These are identified by a globe icon in the authoring interface. Changing a global element in any locale changes it in all locales.

How Adding and Removing Choices/Statements Works

  • Add a choice or grid statement from any locale → it appears in all locales (with blank text in the other locales for you to fill in).

  • Edit choice or statement text → only the current locale is affected.

  • Remove a choice or statement → it is removed from all locales.
