Exporting Chat Data

  1. To create chat data exports, you can go to the 'Exports' tab

2. Click on 'New Export' and it should open the below pop up

3. Update export settings

  1. Enter an Export Name (required)
    Type a name for your export. This helps you identify it later.

  2. Add an Export Description (optional)
    Write a short description to explain what the export contains.

  3. Choose Base Size Settings
    Select the all participant status options you want to use for this export.

  4. Select your Format
    Choose the file format for your export:

    • CSV

    • SPSS

    If you select CSV, you can also:

    • Choose between text values or code values

    • Remove special characters (available when exporting text values)

  5. Set Export Sharing (optional)
    Turn on “Share export to Chathub” if you want your export to appear on the Chathub page of this chat for easy access.

  6. Run the Export
    Click Run Export.
    Your chat data will automatically download in the format you selected.



All exports created will always be available in the 'Exports' tab and can be re-run multiple times.

If you wish to edit the data set or any export settings, you can click on the actions menu and select 'Edit export settings' to update the settings and then save and re-run your export.

FAQs

Can I delete the export?
Yes. You can go to the actions menu and select 'Discard' to delete your export

Can I edit the export created by another user?
Yes. You will be able to edit and re-run the exports created by someone else.

I cannot find the downloaded file?
Check your browser’s download folder. If you do not see the file, try running the export again.
